On behalf of our client from the Gulf, Holol Alghad is looking for a Senior Java engineer.
A payments processor expanding across the Gulf. You will work on the transaction core: high-throughput services, strict latency budgets and a strong review culture.
The role is open now and the team is ready to onboard as soon as the right person is found.
Responsibilities:
- Own features end to end, from design through release
- Keep the codebase clean, tested and documented
- Work directly with the client's engineers in their process
- Diagnose and resolve production issues in your area
- Share knowledge with the team and help newcomers ramp up
Requirements:
- Solid commercial experience in the role's core stack
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with an international team
- Upper-intermediate to advanced English
- Experience with Git and code review culture
Will be a plus:
- Cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
- Docker and containerisation
- CI/CD pipelines
- Interest in AI-assisted development tools
